History

CONSTITUTION OF IMD International Medical Devices S.p.A. thanks to the merger of two companies, present into the market since the Eighties, Italix Ray, specialized in the manufacture and sale of C-arm Mobile Units and Eurotec, specialized in the manufacture and sale of H.F. X-ray monoblocks.

Goal: working on O.E.M. basis in order to create a sole distributors worldwide network.

IMD opened a branch office in China – Beijing.
Birth of INTERMEDICAL Brand.

IMD opened a branch office in India Bangalore

The world network was consolidated. IMD started to sell directly all over the world

The mobile clinic of MOTO GP employed one of our X-ray systems.

The Distributors network in every country started promoting under INTERMEDICAL Brand.
IMD only dealt with O.E.M. customers.
Once the worldwide network had been created, the aim was to find a market positioning.
R&D dept. was reinforced in order to have new products and technologies.

IMD reached higher numbers of sales.
IMD SPA was acquired by the “Aliberti Group”.
IMD still remained the Holding transferring and dividing the production activity in two main branches: Intermedical SRL dedicated to the manufacture and sale of X-ray equipment and IMD Generators SRL (including AEM) dedicated to the manufacture and sale of X-ray generators and monoblocks not only for the Group but also for most of the X-ray producers.
IMD CHINA does not belong anymore to the IMD Group.

INTERMEDICAL acquired SIAS, Italian historical company, specialized in the production of high power C-arms for cardiology, angio tables and injectors. This way Intermedical had the complete range of C-arms present into the market for any application.

IMD Generators SRL acquired PSM (its main competitor):the greatest Italian Company producing X-ray Generators and Monoblocks was born.

The Group is one of the biggest Italian reality beyond one of the first European realities. Value chain is this way extremely integrated.
